Hollywood & Highland Collateral and Creative
Hollywood & Highland is the entertainment center of Los Angeles for both tourists and locals, steps away from landmarks like the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman’s) and the Dolby Theatre, home to the Academy Awards. The 387,000-square-foot center offers 70+ shops and 25 restaurants and hosts entertainment, as well as fully produced brand promotions.
Collaboration with Marketing, Events and Strategic Alliances Directors to support collateral production, as well as create original creative, including designing the branding and campaign art for their summer jazz series, Summer Jazz Nights. Never a dull moment, I worked on hundreds of varied projects including marketing materials, advertising, events, leasing materials; property-wide signage; way finding graphics; and news blasts. The pieces below represent some of those projects.
– Client-branded marketing, event and advertising collateral
– Original Creative
The Deck Logo
The Deck is located on the top floor of Hollywood & Highland where diners can overlook Hollywood Blvd while enjoying fare from ramen to waffles. H&H came to me to create a clean modern logo to represent this re-imagined space, as well as create various collateral.
These are a few samples of the original creative I was asked to design for full-page print advertising, converting to digital ads, as well.
Rack Card & Directory Brochure
Digital Graphics for Super Bowl LIII
H&H asked me to create a simple, bright graphic for use on their website and social media, leading to information about the events, offers and ways to watch the Big Game at Hollywood & Highland.
Cross Promotional Campaign H&H / Hollywood Bowl
These pieces, also built as signage and digital ads, were created to promote the Hollywood & Highland’s Gift with Purchase and the Bowl Shuttle service. This layout leaned on the LA Phil’s design style.
I, and several other artists, were commissioned to take on Hollywood & Highland Center’s famed elephants and its “Live Large” marketing motto and give it our own twist, for their LIVE ART event.
Poster art and illustration for collateral, for H&H’s annual Chanuka event.
H&H asked me to create a large scale stage backdrop that was logo driven, but had another subtle and versatile element. What better for a Hollywood backdrop than stars? This is used for on-site concerts, promo events and more.
VIP ACCESS Collateral
A new campaign called VIP ACCESS was developed in-house at H&H and I was asked to create various pieces of collateral including a tri-fold, signage and digital files.
Fridays by the Fountain
Hollywood & Highland’s visitors and shoppers were invited to hang out in the center’s courtyard and enjoy this free Friday afternoon concert series featuring music from around the world. I was asked to create a pocket-size brochure, signage and rack cards to represent a fresh and bright feel, while keeping in mind H&H’s modern and clean aesthetic.
Floor Plan Design
There was a need for an aesthetically pleasing, editable floor plan design for all five levels of H&H, the result shown in this five-image carousel. They’ve been used internally and in a myriad of leasing packages. I drew these up and often edited as needs changed.
